The Othello Public Market along with the Washington Night Market are hosting a series of nighttime events to celebrate Chinese New Year and the Year of the Dragon. The Night Market will run Friday and Saturday evenings from 5pm to 12am from February 17th–March 10th, and will offer a wide variety of multicultural products, services and cuisine accompanied by live entertainment, carnival-style games and so much more!

Stop by to shop or just to gawk at our elaborate Day of the Dead exhibit and market. Learn a few things about the Latin holiday, decorate your own sugar skulls, indulge in some Bread of the Dead or purchase some items from our other magnificent vendors from all over the world! Our multi-cultural market will be decorated in the tradition of the Día de los Muertos from Wednesday October 12th through Sunday November 6th. And, on Sunday October 30th, bring the whole family out for the Grupo Guelaguetza traditional Mexican dance troupe, the band Los Dalbers live, piñatas and a costume contest!

The Othello Public Market a year-round, indoor/outdoor, multi-cultural market modeled after traditional markets native to countries all over the world. Composed of individual vendor stalls set in a charming, rustic atmosphere, the public market's products will include everything from fresh produce to fashion wear, arts & crafts to antiques, technological gadgets to religious icons. We are open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 11am to 7pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 6pm.

If you plan on selling food at the Othello Public Market, you should be aware of the following:
– Vendors selling fresh fruits and vegetables or prepackaged foods available on the open market only need a valid Washington State Business License and a King County Application for Exemption from Permit with no fee. – Vendors selling prepackaged foods prepared in a commercial kitchen need a valid Washington State Business License, the proper County Health Permit for the commercial kitchen where the items were produced/packaged, and proof of Product Liability Insurance with El Mercado, PC, listed as additionally insured.
